Next to the Hardangerfjord is the village of Eidfjord. The municipality is small, but has a lot to offer. Here you can experience culture and dramatic nature, and there is a short distance between the fjord and the high mountain plateau.

Eidfjord can be found in western Norway and is located by the Hardangerfjord, Norways second longest fjord. Eidfjord is surrounded by stunning nature and spectacular views. As a part of Hardanger you may be so lucky to experience the blossoming if you plan your visit in may.

If you want to go hiking there is only a 20 min drive to Hardangervidda which is the largest national park in the Nordic region. While visiting Eidfjord do not miss the opportunity to check out the magnificent Vøringsfossen. With a drop of 182 m, the lake plunges from the Hardangervidda into Måbødalen, and also the Norwegian Nature centre.
